Współpraca polsko - saudyjska

23 maja br. na zaproszenie JE Ambasadora Królestwa Arabii Saudyjskiej pana Saada Saleha Al-Saleha Centrum Spraw Międzynarodowych AGH miało zaszczyt reprezentować Akademię Górniczo-Hutniczą i uczestniczyć w spotkaniu z JE Ministrem Edukacji KAS, panem Yousefem Bin Abdullahem Al Benyanem, które odbyło się w Warszawie.

Podczas spotkania pan Minister Al Benyan przedstawił m.in. projekt Saudi Vision 2030 oraz kluczowe dla KAS obszary działalności naukowej, badawczej i edukacyjnej w kontekście współpracy z polskimi uczelniami wyższymi i instytucjami nauki.

Już tydzień później na konferencji i międzynarodowych targach edukacyjnych NAFSA 2024 w Nowym Orleanie (USA), Dyrekcja CSM rozmawiała na temat współpracy i wymiany edukacyjnej z przedstawicielami King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals z KAS,
a w ubiegłym tygodniu gościliśmy studentów tej uczelni w murach AGH.

Podczas wizyty w naszej uczelni studenci z KFUPM odwiedzili m.in. Wydział Inżynierii Mechanicznej i Robotyki, Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i Gazu, Wydział Inżynierii Metali i Informatyki Przemysłowej, Centrum Mikroskopii Elektronowej dla Inżynierii Materiałowej, Centrum Energetyki oraz Centrum Spraw Międzynarodowych. Liczymy na intensyfikację dalszej współpracy z KFUPM również w zakresie realizacji wspólnych projektów naukowo badawczych.

Warto wspomnieć, że AGH od kilku lat intensywnie prowadzi współpracę z Arabią Saudyjską realizując wspólne projekty badawcze m.in. z King Abdullah University of Science and Technology razem z Wydziałem Matematyki Stosowanej, Centrum Energetyki czy Wydziałem Fizyki i Informatyki Stosowanej AGH.

 

 

                                                               Polish-Saudi cooperation

On 23 May 2024, at the invitation of H.E. the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr Saad Saleh Al-Saleh, the Centre for International Affairs had the honour of representing the AGH University of Krakow and participating in an official meeting with H.E. the Minister of Education of KAS, Mr Yousef Bin Abdullah Al Benyan, which took place in Warsaw.

During the meeting, Minister Al Benyan presented, among other things, the Saudi Vision 2030 project and the key areas of scientific, research, and educational activities for KAS in the context of cooperation with Polish universities and science institutions.

Just a week later, at the NAFSA 2024 conference and international education fair in New Orleans (USA), the Director of the Centre for International Affairs discussed educational cooperation and exchange with representatives from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals from KAS. Last week we hosted the first students from this university within the walls of AGH University.

Students from KFUPM visited, among others, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas, the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science, the Centre for Electron Microscopy for Materials Engineering, the AGH Center of Energy and the Centre for International Affairs. We look forward to intensifying further cooperation with KFUPM in terms of joint scientific and research projects.

It is worth mentioning that AGH University of Krakow has been cooperating with Saudi Arabia for several years, conducting joint research projects with, among others, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology together with the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, the Energy Centre or the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science at AGH University.
